Day 10: Philippians 4:13, 1 Corinthians 10:13

I can do all things through him (Christ) who strengthens me.

Philippians 4:13

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

One of the great graces of God is that He constantly gives us things and allows others to sin against us so that the right responses are beyond our abilities. By His grace, we are constantly drawn to the conclusion that we need Him. Our brokenness and the grace of the power and ability to overcome sinful responses to others and difficult situations are two amazing sides of a super awesome truth-coin. God is absolutely aware and concerned about the pressures and difficulties that we face, so much that He sets limits and provides the ability to get through it! Most parents who passed through the toddler years can testify to this truth… It is the same for the teen years. Take heart…Trust God. You can do this.

Day 10 Reflection:

Where can you see God’s supernatural work in helping you through difficult moments with your teen?

Where can you pray for more wisdom and lean on God’s strength as you love your son or daughter?
