Day 1: Psalm 86:5-7

For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace. In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me.

Psalm 86:5-7

One of the things that happens when life gets tough is that we start to doubt truth and believe lies. It is important in the grand endeavor of parenting, that we remember that God IS good. The Great Creator is not grudgingly flicking a little love our way. His consistent, steadfast love is ABOUNDING toward us. Our Great God ANSWERS when we call on Him. These truths are so important when we get into the trenches of the daily battle for our children. Stepping back from our feelings and anchoring into Truth is critical for our work as parents. So, as you lean into the battle for your child’s heart, lean into God’s Word and bow your heart at the foot of the Cross.

Day 1 Reflection:

What does it look like to lean into the Word of God? How can you practice bowing your heart at the foot of the Cross?
